Continuation of the Lazy Lecturer saga

I was bitching about the lazy lecturer in my previous post and guess what, he managed to surprise me today with something even better.

He turned up for the exam invigilation in shorts and sandles!

It must be against some university rules for lecturers to turn up in casual wear. You always see them in at least trousers and shoes, but never in shorts and sandles for an official event.

It is a bit pot-kettle-black, as I always go to school in shorts and sandles, but these are lecturers FFS.

Could be just my heavy biases talking though.

Bloody lazy lecturer.

Not that I want to complain but my lecturer is a bloody slacker.

Examples include:

Folks, some of you have asked me to type the tutorial questions in full rather than just list page & question #s from the 3rd edition text because you are working with the 2nd ed. of the textbook. Generally speaking, I might have thought that'd be difficult as a student to rely on an older edition. In any event, I might have typed the questions if they were few and short, but I am loath to type them especially since some of them require diagrams and make references to figures in the text. There are three copies of the 3rd ed text on RBR in the Science library. Depending on how much of Chapter 3 I'm able to cover, I'll assign problems from the questions at the end of the chapter. Please xerox those pages if you need to. I won't be doing much TCP, so questions relating to the text up to Section 3.5 will suffice.
Great, he's too lazy to type out the questions for people who don't have the book. Can't even be bothered to scan it in.

and

Please don't send me mail asking me to explain some section of the text or some problem or the other by e-mail. I've had office hours all semester long in which I've hardly noticed any traffic. I cannot type long answers for your one line questions which often require carefully and painstakingly constructed sentences.
Admittedly, students should not wait till the last minute to ask questions, but still that should not mean that you can be too lazy to answers questions that students have.

I am going to be so screwed for this module.

Casino

Got this in an email

Subject: FW: Casino to open up new opportunities

Subject: Casino to open up new opportunities
Date: Fri, 18 Mar 2005 09:35:41 +0800

Singapore's loan shark industry openly backed the proposal to build a
casino yesterday, saying it would contribute greatly to their growth.

Association of Hardship Loan Operators and Neighbourhood Gangsters (AHLONG)
spokesman Dr Chao Ah Beng told the Ministry of Finance today that the loan
shark industry would benefit tremendously from the setting up of a casino.
"We know the Gahmen say the casino will bring in tax revenue, lah, employ
eople lah, bring in money that is lost to Genting Highlands and casino
cruises, lah, all that sort of thing", said Dr Chao, "Many Singaporeans
make noise but then ah, they all dun realize that the casino will oso boost
many other industries, which is another good reason for setting it up."

To highlight his point, Dr Chao, who lectures in money-laundering and
grievous bodily harm at Hoot U, the Geylang-based tertiary institution for
bengs and lians, said the casino would enable the loan shark industry to
diversify and upgrade its existing line of products and services.
"Before ah, we lend people money to pay off their gambling debts", he
explained, "Now, with the casino, we can oso offer them high interest loans
to enable them to pay the entry fee to get into the casino in the first
place."

Dr Chao also predicted a rise in their traditional service of debt
recovery. "I would definitely invest in pork futures. With more
gamblers, it makes sense that there will be more debtors, and a
corresponding surge in demand for pig's heads. In fact ah, I believe oso
that there will be anuder option for racehorse owners who are looking to
get rid of their old horses ... sometimes ah, horse heads can be used too."

Dr Chao, who also pens an occasional advice column for Talking****.com,
also announced that Hoot U hopes to sign a memorandum of understanding with
the proposed casino. "The casino sure need bouncers to keep the riff-raff
out, ah lians to attract the high rollers, heavies to hoot cheaterbugs,
that sort of thing, and Hoot U is the region's premier producer for
manpower in these sectors. So we hope to establish an internship
on-the-job-training programme."

The spin-off benefits to other industries cannot be overlooked either, Dr
Chao went on. "There will be an increase in the demand for medical and
hospital care ... people with broken arms or legs, noses .. faces
even. In fact I will even say the undertaking industry will see potential
high growth too. There will be a need for psychiatrists and counsellors
... even physiotherapists, to treat tired arms from pulling on jackpot
machines, or rolling dice and so on. The Singapore Tourism Board will
finally be able to justify its existence - poor thing, so many years, kena
condemned as waste of taxpayers money, because will have more visitors to
Singapore. I can say, ah, that even the gahmen agencies and ministries,
like MoM, ICA and the police force will see increased employment
opportunities, with more cases of illegal overstaying, vice and crime.
There will be more work for all Singaporeans!! Ahya ... the list can be
endless!!!"

In other casino-related news, legendary Las Vegas casino operator Harrah's
has understood to be be changing its name to "Harry's" in order to improve
its bidding prospects for the Singapore project. The operator believes the
change in name will bring about a stronger identification for Singaporeans.
A spokesman, who declined to be named, said, "Despite the
controversies, we hope this will remind all Singaporeans of the legacy
behind the advent of casinos here."

YNWA

Celtic fans singing YNWA

A friend once asked me if I cried during movies. I replied honestly and said no. But added that I do cry during soccer matches. That produced the required stare.

But it's not the soccer matches, but the songs sung in solidarity and friendship that make me cry.

Above is a rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" adopted by Liverpool and Celtic fans as an anthem. It never fails to make my hair stand and on emotional occasions, cry.

Hillsborough Anniversry

On this day (15/04/1989), 96 fans died at a football match. They will never be forgotten. You'll Never Walk Alone. RIP 96. Posted by Hello

I never knew about this before supporting Liverpool and was ignorant about it for quite some time after that. But I slowly learnt about this and am deeply affected by it. No one should die supporting the team they love.

My lucky star seems to have arrived!

Studying at the library and leaving your phone there. Forgetting about it and leaving only to realise your phone's not with you about 5 minutes later.

Worse case senario?

Not when you're lucky. I went back and someone actually returned it to me! Although the phone was off so it meant that they had the idea of taking it, but maybe they thought my pityful look was too pityful after all. I don't care what their intentions were, but thank you all the same.

So a side news, Liverpool are through to the semi finals of the Champions League after a goal-less draw at Turin. Liverpool went through 2-1 on aggregate and it's great result for us. Maybe all the karma that I have been accumulating over the years is starting to be put in use.

As such I continued my good form of Karma by giving my seat up to a pregneant women on the MRT. Noticed her a bit late as I was dozing off but still late is better then never. Disgust me to the core that people will just ignore her.

Not going to bitch too much as that will decrease my Karma and we are going to need a lot of it for the 2 legged match against Chelski a.k.a Rich Man's Small Club(RMSC).

Update!

Wonder if I actually study...

LMAO

Cool but fake

Cool, not sure if it's real though

Nice commercial

Flying dog

OMFG!

Cool game

I should be mugging but....

This is a rough report on what happened yesterday.

We started off at Clementi, meeting at 5:30pm but inadvertably leaving only at 6pm due to chronic case of lateness from some party members.

And in the begining there were 5. (Alice, Ben2, Joseph, Kee, Siyong)

We merrily made our way to Ginza Plaza to have our dinner where we were met by the muggers Kailun and Maxim, and the crazy Sid and Sam.

After a delightful dinner, in which Siyong drank some "special" sugar cane juice, Ben2 learning how to say sugar cane juice in Chinese and we were given a discourse on why there might be calcium sulphate in bean curd, we made our way to West Coast Park.

Riding around in the relative darkness and getting all sorts of comments, we decided to leave the safety of the park and venture out into the great unknown.

Across treacherous terrain we moved, and before we knew it, we were at Harbour Front. There, we had our customary milo bing (:P) session. Photos telling the story are below.

Alice with her typical "You take me I take you" pose

Joseph enjoying himself. Take no notice of his shirt.

Sid and Jeff.

Ben2 and tired Sam

Siyong and Alice

But alas the call of the books was too strong for many to resist, with most people deciding to go home after the milo bing session. Only Sid, Jeff and Kee decided that they did not know what was best for them and decided to brave it on to City Hall. Jeff decided to back out after a while as his 20" was having problems catching up with the amazing duo of Sid and Kee (not your fault Jeff, we're just too good. :P)

Photos below will capture the ups and downs of that journey.

Sid and Kee at Kallang

Kee chickened out at Kembangan and decided to go back home to sleep. It was around 1am. Sid still delirious from not being in a black strait-jacket decided to cycle on into the night, muttering to himself "I'm sure it was a goal" with some intermittent "I'll unicycle down Mt. Everest one of these days!"

End result, a very very tired Kee who was still sleeping on Sunday. This is actually RR doing the report for him.

Very very late April Fools Joke thought

I was listening to radio the other day and they kept doing this thing.

DJ: "What's you favourite station?"

Naive Listener: "Power 98!"

And I was wondering why no one tried this for an April Fools joke. Maybe someone did and I missed it...

DJ: "What's you favourite red hot radio station?"

Prank caller(PC): "Perfect 10!"

DJ: "Ok thank you for... wait..."

PC: "Huh? Wrong station? Ok, think I got it this time. Class 95!"

DJ: "Err.. no it's *cough*power*cough*98*cough*"

PC: "Wow. You DJ's talk too much. Drink some water, your cough's real bad. But don't worry, I'm sure I got it this time. YES 933!"

DJ: *choking sounds are heard now*

PC: "LOVE 972? BBC? Some obscure local radio?"

DJ: *starting to have spasms*

PC: "Maybe it's 0104 Joke?"

P.S: No DJ's were harmed in the production of this lame joke.
P.S.S: All radio stations are real. Think my pants are going to be sued off me this time.

Google = Big brother?

Google = Big Brother?

Rissole?

What the hell is that?

Well this is dictionary.com's definition.

Why do I ask this? Well I just ate one today and want to know it I should be suitably disgusted or delighted that I ate one.

Why did I eat something when I had no idea what it was? Didn't my mom always tell me not eat things that I don't know. Call it blind stupidity, or courage under fire, but whatever momment of madeness made me do it, I hope it does not strike me again.

You see, I was just trying to buy some food. Food. Now that's a thought. Get something you like next time..

And the snack that I wanted (potatoe croquettes) happened to be sold out. And on the same tray happend to be these rissoles that looked pretty similar in texture. So I decided that since they were on the same tray, and I'm unable to pronounce either one correctly, they should be similar.

One bite and fish paste in my mouth later, I decided that my decision making skills needed some brushing up.

However, in a momment of pure inspiration, I have decided that I will not eat another one again.

Now, where are those fish cakes?

Dangers of April Fools Jokes.

In what started out as an Aprils Fools day joke, this sure turned out scary.

The basic premise is that it was going to be April Fools day, so as a prank, it was silently decided between Siyong, Kailoon and me that we would try to organize a unicycle trip then not turn up, leaving everyone stranded!

Some how, word of this got to Sid and the trip became a post April Fools day celebration ride to be held on Saturday. To disuade Sid, I gave the cheeky suggestion that we should do a ride around P.Ubin at Night and without lights. I think Sid probably gave it some consideration before throwing it out of the window for being too cowardly an idea.

And thus, there we were on a Sunday morning, waiting to go to P.Ubin, in what can best be described as a Post, Post April Fools day ride. To me it just was an April Fools day joke gone horribly wrong. Me and my big mouth and since I was a *cough*loyal*cough* friend, I decided to join Sid, Sam, Ben2, Jolyn, Helena and our unicycles on this trip. It was quite a milestone actually. It was both Sam and Helena's first unicycle trip, albiet on unicycles.

The weather was hot and humid, with most of us feeling the effect after just a short ride. But undeterred, mainly due to the fact that Sid just might kill us all if we did not get moving, we pressed on.

"There ain't no mountain high enough, there ain't no valley deep enough" was probably a good theme to go to, although the highest mountain was a hump that Jolyon fell over and the valleys all tended to have bridges. But non the less, we went on.

To cut a long story short, we went, we saw, we kind of slunked back to the jetty, but we survived a ride in the wilderness that is called P.Ubin.

Hope this makes all those muggers *cough*Kailoon*cough*Siyong*cough* jealous.

So when's the next ride?

Conspiracy theory

If anybody can remember, about a week ago, a man fell onto the tracks at Bouna Vista MRT and got hit by a MRT and subsequently died.

It was claimed at first that he went down to pick something up, only to be refuted the following day by his fiancee. She claimed that he "slipped".

Also the authorities claimed that the cameras were working but "strangely" did not record anything down at the momment in time.

Now, the metal strips at the Bouna Vista MRT have strangely been removed. Strips that are used to guide the visually impaired. Strips that one might slip and fall upon..

Don't believe? Go take a look and notice that no other station has yet removed those strips.

NUS Girl extremely pissed.

Remember the girl who got proposed to during a live lecture?

Well this is her blog. And boy is she pissed.

Dangers of mIRC.

Cheeky used to chat in IRC during exam periods to de-stress. IRC for your info, provide a great excuse for you to leave your brain in the fridge and indulge in some mindless conversations with strangers. Great entertainment values plus it’s low cost. Anyway, below is an excerpt of a chat that happened a few years ago.

Cheeky aka Mike: Hi, I’m Mike. Anyone care for a chat?

15 minutes gone and not a single person wanted to chat with cheeky.
What do you do in such a situation? You change your nick.

Cheeky aka Sexy Mike: Hi. Anyone wants to chat?

5 minutes went by and suddenly a message from someone called NUS guy popped up on the screen.

NUS guy: You think you are so damn sexy? Why don’t you go fuck yourself. Fucking loser. Hahaha.

Hey, come on. There’s no need to be mean. Cheeky just want to chat with someone. Anyone. Drastic situation calls for drastic action. Cheeky decided to change his nick again.

Cheeky aka Rachel: Hi, anyone care for a chat?

This seems to do the trick. Very soon, a couple of guys attempt to chat up with cheeky, er I mean Rachel. But Rachel ignored them because he, no she no he, oh what the fuck he/she was waiting for that very special person to appear. After a few minutes, that special someone appeared.

NUS guy: Hi. Wanna chat?
Woohoo!!! The dickhead has knocked on the door. Why don’t we reciprocate and let him in. It’s gonna to be fun.
Cheeky aka Rachel: Sure.
NUS guy: Intro pls.
Don’t they ever change their lines.
Rachel: 20/f. U leh?
NUS guy: Me 23/m. Are u studying?
No, cheeky is lazing at home all day scratching his balls.
Rachel: Yup. At NUS.
NUS guy: hey, me too. Which faculty are you from?
Rachel: Business.
NUS guy: I’m from engineering. Where do u live?
A few miles from Lim Chu Kang abattoir where your fellow friends are being slaughtered
Rachel: At Bishan St 23.
NUS guy: Ok. So u got a boyfriend?
No, but got plenty of girlfriends.
Rachel: No.
NUS guy: Yah, me too. Just dumped my previous girlfriend.
Hahaha, like real.
Rachel: So why did u dump her?
NUS guy: Oh. Incompatible characters. She was too possessive. I prefer a bit more freedom for myself. I don’t like my girlfriend restricting my way of life, u know what I mean? So what’s your height and weight?
Dickhead is clearly looking for a babe. Lets oblige his request.
Rachel: 166cm/43kg.
NUS guy: u must be very pretty.
Er… if you say so. But cheeky prefer to be called yan dao.
Rachel: Ok lah. You leh? Must be very handsome right?
NUS guy: Hmmm… my female classmates did say I resemble Daniel Wu a lot. I don’t know lah. I think I resemble Tony Leung more.
Someone please pass cheeky a bag. He needs to puke.
Rachel: So are u on a look out for a new girlfriend?
NUS guy: I don’t think there’s a need. I think I have found one right in you.
Make that bag a large one.
Rachel: haha, u are a smooth talker.
NUS guy: Gift of the gab is just one of my many virtues u know. If you don't mind, can I know your vital statistic.
Sure. It's 11 inches in length
Rachel: 36-24-36.
NUS guy: Wow! Do u have a photo that u could send to me.
Oh oh. How?
Rachel: u send me your first lah.
NUS guy: Ok, but after that u promise to send me yours. Promise me hah.
Promise your head lah.
Rachel: sure.
Dickhead DCC his photo over.

Haha, really look like Tony Leung. The pirated version of the pirated version of Tony Leung.

Rachel: Wah, u look very handsome leh.
NUS guy: Thanks. A lot of people said that.
Still puking
NUS guy: Now u must send me yours hor.
Rachel: I don’t have to. U just have to buy the latest copy of Maxim. I’m on page 12 wearing a pink bikini.
NUS guy: Wah serious? U are a model?
No, but Cheeky got a lot of model areoplanes at home.
Rachel: I’m just a part timer. Nothing to shout about.
NUS guy: Tomorrow, I will buy one copy, first thing in the morning.
I’m sure you will, you fucking piece of shit.
NUS guy: Can I have your number?
Of course. The number is 999
Rachel: er… I’m not that keen to give my number to strangers. Why don’t u leave me yours.
NUS guy: ermm… ok. My number is 9xxxxxxx.
Woohooo, tomorrow go buy toto and 4D
NUS guy: can I meet you in person?
Cheeky very shy leh. How?
Rachel: er…. Sure. But I want to bring a friend along.
NUS guy: No problem. Is she a gal by the way.
Rachel: No. It’s a guy. But u know him too.
NUS guy: u are kidding me right? What’s his name?
Rachel: Sexy Mike.
NUS guy:…………………………Chao cheebye!!!

Wahahahaha. See IRC can be so fun. However, if you are looking for a life partner or soul mates, the IRC is not the right avenue because all kinds of people with undesirable motives and traits exist in the chat room. Better to be entertained, don't you think?

The irony and paradox

I was watching TV the other day and it happened to be showing a beauty pagent. One of the contestants, on being asked what her greatest strength was, replied, "Being optimistic."

Okayy..

Then when quized what her worst flaw was, she replied, "Being TOO optimistic."

Oh the irony. If one can actually believe that being too optimistic, when there are so many more deadly flaws, then one really is TOO optimistic. Which also makes it somewhat paradoxical and headbursting.

On a side note, I used to take pride at being able to go unnoticed. Thanks to my sniper camoflague and WUDI ninja training, I go unnoticed for long periods of time. Proud to say, it used to take my teachers 6 months to remember my name.

So imagine my chagrin, when my tutor actually remembered my name! After only 3 months! FFS, I'm losing my touch. Old liaoz.

NUS guy professing his love during lecture!

He's got guts. I give him that.

More quizes!

You are a drumstick.

Absolutely insane. That is how most would describe you. You aren't afraid to take risks, and enjoy putting yourself in strange situations. Most people hang out with you because of your hilarious sense of humour. You light up any bad situation, and can help all of your friends with their problems, except for your own. Because of this, you enjoy being around people like you. Many shut you out for your very weird, random personality, but honestly, you shouldn't care.

Most compatible with: Guitar, and another drumstick.

Click here -- What Random Object Represents Your Inner Self?

Rant

I'm pretty much a TV junkie and tend to watch wayyyyy too much TV.

Anyway, it just so happened that I was channel surfing just now and came upon a Malaysian channel showing a Jeniffer Lopez MTV. The one thing that caught my eye wasn't J.Lo (does she still go by that moniker these days?) but rather the censored part.

And there was no nudity. They were censoring the belly button! FFS! I know that Malaysia is a pretty conservative country and that they hold Islam in high regard. They also frown on these sort of scantly clad women. However, if they don't like it then why show it? Why show it then censor of the belly button? Either you do it all out, or just don't show it all. Can't stand this sort of half-heartedness. Bleh.

On a side note, still waiting for my CCUSA application to be approved. I know it's supposed to take till at least 1st April, but FFS, can't they hurry up? If the application fails, at least I can look into doing other stuff. Typical American efficiency. Bleh.

East coast to Redhill

Exams are coming up, and I'm supposed to be at home mugging quietly away into the night. However, things in life don't always turn out as planned, and I ended up going for a unicycle trip (more like endurance marathon).

Starting from East coast, we made our way to Esplanade, via Fort Road, Kallang, Nicoll Highway, stopping at Beach Road to have dinner. After Esplanade and a teh bing session (finally attended one! WoO~! Now I will never be known as "The one who never attends teh bing sessions"), we continued on towards the west with no real destination in mind, only constraint was to catch the last train. As fate would have it we, did made it to Redhill and did manage to catch the last train (thankfully, or I would have to spend the night at NUS..).

And thus ends my adventures of the day.

Pictures are at The Singapore Unicyclist blog.

Sorry for the rather uninteresting post. Too tired and shaq out.

Going a bit overboard with the LFC pic's, but it's MY blog and no one can make me do otherwise.

Ok, maybe not no one.

Ok, make that everyone. :(

More on LFC vs EFC.

To all those who felt that Garcia dived for the first goal and that Baros deserved a red card, I present:

He didn't even get a yellow card! Baros did deserve to get sent off, but Hibbert deserved to as well. Garcia's leg was near breaking!

Hilarous article about LFC vs EFC.

Taken from the official site. But it was taken down, probably from complaints by gracious Everton fans.

EVERTON PAIR GRACIOUS IN DEFEAT
Paul Rogers 21 March 2005

David Moyes and his captain Alan Stubbs may not have been on the winning
side in a game that was billed the most important Merseyside derby in 20
years but the pair have both been gracious in defeat.
Rather than make excuses for the defeat which moves Liverpool to within
four points of fourth place, both the Everton manager and his veteran
defender admitted the best team won on the day.

David Moyes on the amount of injury time played

"It definitely wasn't three minutes. I couldn't believe it. We'll check it
out. We might be wrong but, if we're not, we'll soon be letting them
know."

Alan Stubbs on referee Rob Styles

"We were the only team that had bookings."

David Moyes on the amount of injury time played (again)

"It was just three minutes. We scored and then the ball is in the crowd
and held by a fan, how long should you get for that?"

Alan Stubbs on Tony Hibbert's terrible tackle on Luis Garcia that led to
the opening goal

"Continental players will go down a lot easier. Referees have to be big
enough to see that but unfortunately they are not."

David Moyes on the amount of injury time played (again)

"I thought we were going to get the equaliser and if we would have had
enough time then we might have."

Alan Stubbs on the importance of Sunday's derby

"This game was important but we won't lose heart because we lost it. We
are still in the driving seat. The others still have to hope we drop
points and they would gladly swap places with us."

David Moyes on the amount of injury time played (again)

"After we scored, they kicked the ball into the crowd and we did not have
a ball to play with, never mind the substitutions and when Alan Stubbs was
down injured."

Alan Stubbs on Liverpool's celebrations at the end

"Liverpool celebrated at the end as if they had taken fourth place but we
will see how things stand at the end of the season."

David Moyes on how Everton didn't do anything wrong

"I don't think it was a matter of us doing anything wrong. It was more
Liverpool did things that theyhave not been doing this season."

Alan Stubbs forgives Milan Baros for his mistimed tackle

"It was a ridiculous challenge. I would crucify myself if I made a
challenge like that. It was a challenge that could finish a player's
career. It was a s***bag's challenge. I won't have it that it was a
striker's challenge; there is no such thing. I can accept players who turn
their back and leave their foot dangling. But no player should look at
another player, and leave their foot there and deliberately do it. No
matter what, there is no place for that in football."

David Moyes on the amount of injury time played (again)

"I think the referee played three minutes. He didn't even play three
minutes and a bit, he was right on the button."

Alan Stubbs admits the Baros tackle wasn't that bad really

"It will take a lot more than that to knock me down."

David Moyes on the amount of injury time played (again)

"The referee might be proven right and I'm not saying I'm right, but we
will look at the videos and check it."

David Moyes insists he doesn't want to talk about referee Rob Styles

"I don't want to talk about the referee, but the authorities just have to
make sure they pick the right ones for the big games."

David Moyes on referee Rob Styles

"The referees have got to be good enough for the games. Maybe today the
referee wasn't."

David Moyes asks how anyone could criticise Nigel Martyn after his amazing
season

"Who can criticise Nigel after how he has played for us this season?"

David Moyes on Nigel Martyn

"I think Nigel Martyn could have done better for both goals. There was
perhaps a case today for Nigel to hold his hands up, and to be fair, he
has done that. He has distinguished himself in the past and is a terrific
keeper that has saved us many times in the past and hopefully it won't
happen again."

David Moyes on referee Rob Styles (again)

"We didn't get a lot of protection and didn't get the decisions that
mattered."

David Moyes on the race for fourth

"We didn't set out to be here and we don't have the finance to be in this
position. Some people have spent 100 million to be in fourth."

New phone. Wee~!

Yay!

Been playing with it for a few days, ok 2 days, but I'm really impressed with it. You do need bluetooth to get the best out of it, but other then that, I'm really happy that I got this.

MP3 player - You can listen to MP3's on this. You need to transfer the files via Bluetooth or IR, and best compress them, but you prolly could store about 15++ songs with room to spare. Sound quality isn't that good, but hey, it's a phone.

Camera/Video recorder - Pretty clear and sharp. Supposedly able to handle resolutions up to 640X480. You can watch video clips as well.

Bluetooth - Wow. I need to get a Bluetooth dongle soon. Borrowed one from a friend and explored quite a few features. Apparently, you can use the phone as a remote control to control you media player, even mouse if you need. A few softwares out there even allow this to function as a webcam!

Games - Woo, Java games on a phone. Not PDA quality games, but enough action rpg's in there to help me waste time on the MRT.

Radio - A big plus, again allowing me to waste time on the MRT.

I LOVE MY K700i!

Crazy card happy referee. 15 Yellow cards in total. Posted by Hello

Time for a rant.

Not been posting for some as I have been rather busy (read lazy). No time to find interesting links as well (read even lazier). So I hereby present a sham of a post to try to keep the interest of my readers (all 1 of them. Raymond you know that's you).

Rant 1:
I was walking happily along one day when I saw this advertisment.

"Singapore's biggest 20" pizza across the road!"

First thing that came to my mind was "Oooo.. Food... Drool!" Then it occured to me that something did not seem right. Biggest 20" pizza.

If it was 20" then that would be the size of it. Something bigger would be 21" for example. So how is it the biggest? Thickest maybe, fatest, or even most extravagant. But definately not biggest. <_<. Advertising for you I guess.

Rant 2:
I was sitting the shuttle bus and it stopped at a.. well bus-stop (DUH!) The doors closed and one guy came running up. The driver, as they are so well versed in doing, promptly ignored him and drove away.

If you thought that was the interesting part, then you have a wierd sense of humour. Instead, I now present to you "THE INTERSETING PART(tm)". I managed to take a look at the person's face and it was very obvious that he just said "Che* B*". That got me thinking again. (Yes, I know, bad habit) Why was it that I knew what he was saying when I did not manage to hear it? Why is it that everytime a footballer (*cough*Joe*cough*Cole*cough*) utters a vulgarity on TV, everyone knows what it is?

Thesis time anybody?

Rant 3:
Channel U is showing all sorts of wierd stuff after they were taken over by Mediacorp. It so happens they show Bruce Lee shows on Friday around midnight. Being a night owl, I tend to catch a lot of these shows.

So I was sitting there and watching Bruce Lee get into a fight. Considering it's a Bruce Lee show, that was about every 5 minutes. And I thought to myself, "Wah, very Lee Xiao Long (aka Bruce Lee) leh!" Then it hit me, this was Bruce Lee, the very person who pratically gave birth to wiping his snot off the nose, prancing about, saying "WATAH!". Nostalgia defiantely.

Ok rants over. Look forward to next week's episode of "Yuan's rants!". Brought to you by eBlogger, your one stop place for all things bloggy!

Note3: Woo~! I finished it. With a lot of help from Google though.

Optical Illusions

Beware the end.

Another stupid scary stuff at the end one.

9 Dolphins.

Edit: To protect my backside, this is a general story behind the above picture. According to the people who made it, we are so corrupted by sexual influences that we tend to see it everywhere. So, if you were to ask a small kid who has not had such influences, he would see 9 dolphins, or as some kid put it, 2 ballet dancers. It is us, who have been affected, that would see it for what it (err truely?) is.

So if you think the above picture is NWFW, then think again, it's just 9 dolphins.
