Crazy Aunt and Phone Calling Pesterers.

My aunt is a nightmare to telemarketers.

I recently overheard a conversation as such.

Telemarketer (T) : Hello.

Aunt (A) : *in chinese* Hello.

T: Are you *insert aunt's name*?

A: *still in chinese. note: she used chinese throughout* Yes.

T: *looks at list of 3000 names* Congratulations! You are one of the 30 people who have been picked to win our prize! Come down to our office for more details!

A: Really? That's great! Could you speak in Chinese? I can only understand a little English.

T: Er... ok. May I know what's your occupation?

A: I drive a taxi! Do you need a ride? I can do passenger pick ups. I can charge you slightly cheaper as well. *She's lying by the way*

T: *slightly shocked, was expecting someone who did something else* Err. I think I got the wrong person. I'm actually looking for a *insert next name on the list*.

A: Oh I'm that person as well! You said I won a prize! What is it?

T: Err. Sorry wrong number. *proceeds to throw down the phone and blame his luck.

Rant at shopkeepers.

I went to get something from the provision store today. The total cost was $4.50.

So I took out $10 and rummaged through my coin pouch (which was getting heavy) for a 50 cents.

I passed it to the shopkeeper, who promtly gave me a $5 and a $1 COIN.

Duh!

I give you coins so I can lighten my load, and you give me another coin back! WTF! OMG YOU N00B!

Politically correct commercials?

Just noticed this while watching TV.

It's about the Peugot commercial, where car owners flee, screaming their heads off when a Peugot appears. Ok maybe not, but they do try to hide their cars.

Well the first time I saw it was a week ago, and I found it quite refreshing. Just saw it again and I noticed changes.

Originally, 3 cars were hiding behind the truck. Now there are just 2. A message to not tailgate?

Orginally, a women in the car park decided that she would smash the lights so no one would be able to see her car. Now she switches it off. No to vandalism?

Wow, you actually must make commercials politically correct now.

Continuation of extreme Paint Drying!

I managed to cut my finger opening a can of paint. Duh. Continuation of my extreme paint drying adventures.

I DID say it was an extreme sport and as with any extreme sport you can get serious injuries.



The culprit in question has been detained by the authorities and charges will be pressed. Anyone with more information can call the relevant authorities (that would be me as well).
